| Being
a residential institute, it offers a home away from
home in the form of furnished hostels. The institute
has two hostels for girls and boys separately. Each
hostel is supervised by a warden and in case of their
absence, by the CRS or the College Representatives.
The hostels have capacity of holding more than 300
students. The rooms in the hostel consist of double
seaters and single seaters, the latter are allotted
during the seventh to tenth semester students.

The hostel has an intercom facility. Intercoms have
been provided on each floor of both the hostels; by
virtue of which the warden, the nursing assistant, lecturers
can be contacted as and when required. Parents too can
utilize this facility as they can directly call on the
official college number, dial the requisite extension
number and speak to their wards. For those students
who don't have cell phones or who would rather not spend
money on exorbitant billing, the hostels have Connect
Phone card phones. |
| |
|
|
| These
cards come in the denomination of Rs 50/-, 100/- etc
and can be collected from the warden on payment. The
hostel also has a 24-hour water supply and generator
back up for the classrooms, offices, mess and common
room. Being a multi-storied hostel, the convenience
of drinking water has been provided on each floor through
state of the art water coolers attached with Aqua guard
purifiers. Due to the extensive research and assignments
that the students are required to do, Desktop computers,
laptops, printers, etc are allowed in the hostel. Keeping
in view the growing need of online researches, the institute
will shortly be coming up with a WI-FI system to enable

MOOT
COURT ROOM |
| |
 |
|
“…it
is not just when the lawyer comes in front of the
court that his roots are revealed, It is much before
the arguments that the case is won.”
Keeping the essence of these lines alive, the faculty
at Army Institute of Law inculcates the most important
lessons of being a lawyer through the facility of
a fully equipped and elaborate moot court room which
is complete with a Judge’s bench, court clerk’s
table, witness boxes and audience setting. |
| |
|
| |
Students
are given propositions to work on which are based on land
mark cases or otherwise. And what better way to expose students
to a real court room than to have such a moot court room
in the very college. Thanks to the setting and the professionalism
of the mock Judges, while mooting the students are given
the experience of advocating a case like an actual lawyer
in an actual court room. This room is one of the reasons
why our college has churned out some of the best mooters
of today; in the national and international sphere as well
as the best professional lawyers. |
